Perkins Thompson's Criminal Law Practice Group regularly appears in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine and has handled numerous appeals in various Circuit Courts of Appeals, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. John A. Ciraldo, a member of the Practice Group, served as co-chairman of the Committee that authored the Pattern Criminal Jury Instructions for the First Circuit (West 1998), and has spoken extensively on federal criminal defense, as well as on sentencing guidelines issues.
