Mr. Julien's wide-ranging practice incorporates the law of intellectual property, business transactions, immigration, and media and communications law with a general litigation and administrative law practice. Mr. Julien assists authors, software companies, web-based businesses, biotech companies and others with all aspects of their businesses. Mr. Julien negotiates and documents a wide range of complex business transactions, including stock and asset sales, commercial sales agreements, and intellectual property licenses. Mr. Julien helps clients with all phases of trademark law, including protection and registration of marks, advertising issues, and trademark litigation. Mr. Julien also assists clients with various legislative and regulatory matters. Mr. Julien, a shareholder/director of Perkins Thompson, is the Chair of the Intellectual Property Section of the Maine State Bar Association.

In addition, Mr. Julien has extensive knowledge of the law of eminent domain, with experience both in taking property and in defending against the taking of property.

Before attending law school, Mr. Julien wrote screenplays, and is presently a member of the Writer's Guild of America. Mr. Julien is a member of the Town of Falmouth Board of Zoning Appeals.
