Mr. McConnell is a shareholder/director of Perkins Thompson. Before becoming an attorney, Mr. McConnell was an acquisitions editor for a multinational scholarly publisher, where he acquired doctoral-level monographs and journals in the academic disciplines of business and economics.

At the University of Virginia School of Law, Mr. McConnell was awarded the Dana H. Rowe Memorial Scholarship. He was Articles Development Editor of the Virginia Environmental Law Journal in 1994-1995.

Mr. McConnell practices in the area of litigation, where his emphasis is on the cost-effective resolution of disputes. In addition to his work as an advocate, Mr. McConnell serves as a mediator, arbitrator, and early neutral evaluator. Mr. McConnell also works in administrative law, working with state and local government agencies on behalf of his clients.

Mr. McConnell is active in the Maine State Bar Association and is a former Chair of the Young Lawyers Section. He is Chair of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Town of Falmouth. Mr. McConnell serves on the Board of Directors for the Nathan and Henry B. Cleaves Law Library. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Cumberland County Bar Association and the Maine Trial Lawyers Association.
