Mr. Rich practices in the area of litigation and is the Chair of Perkins Thompson's litigation department. Mr. Rich's litigation experience includes commercial litigation, products liability actions, the defense of class actions, intellectual property actions, and employment issues.

Mr. Rich also provides counsel to businesses regarding all aspects of employment law. He is a shareholder/director of Perkins Thompson.

Mr. Rich is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Maine Trial Lawyers Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Cumberland County and Maine and New Hampshire State Bar Associations. Mr. Rich is a member of the Maine State Bar Association sections on federal practice, employment law, and intellectual property.

Mr. Rich is a former President of the Cumberland Bar Association as well as the former Chair of the Productivity Task Force of the Commission to study the future of Maine's courts, and the Futures Implementation Committee of the Maine Judicial Council. Presently, he has been appointed by Chief Justice Wathen of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court to the Advisory Committee on the Future of Maine Courts. He is a past Chair of the Board of Overseers Fee Arbitration Commission, past Chair of the Cumberland County Fee Arbitration Panel, and past President of the Nathan and Henry B. Cleaves Law Library, Portland, Maine.

Mr. Rich grew up overseas until returning to the U.S. for college. He speaks French and Japanese.
